WPPI 2014 – Las Vegas, Nevada

This year I was blessed enough to be able to attend WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) for the first time. It’s a huge expo and convention in Las Vegas for photographers. Each year about 13,000 photographers from around the globe attend.

Besides the fact that it’s already a blessing just to be able to go it’s also pretty dang exciting that’s it’s in Vegas in March. This means leaving the snowy tundra behind for soaking in some vitamin D, not wearing a coat, and gawking at palm trees like they’re a very exotic plant. I mean really, pretty much like letting a caged up puppy out of their cage. I attended with one of my best gal pals. We laugh so much and so hard, it makes my heart happy. She’s the happy and stylish blonde you’ll see in my photos. We now have a whole new array of stories and inside jokes.

But laughing and silliness aside. I learned a lot and renewed my soul a bit. I met lots of amazingly talented people. I also participated in a gorgeous styled wedding shoot out in the desert. I can’t wait to share images from it! Desert sunsets are pretty amazing.

If you know me at all or follow me on Instagram you might know about my nerdy obsession with succulents and cacti. So once again, puppy out if it’s cage, I was excited to see gorgeous deep green and PURPLE, purple cacti. Yes, yes I am a midwest girl and I swoon at cacti.

So blessed to have this experience, learning and bonding as a new part of me. Thank you Lord!
